FIT and FUT combined hair transplantation method

Nowadays, hair transplantation is possible with several methods like FUT, FIT and combined methods (combination of FIT and FUT methods).
1) FUT method:
In the FUT method, which is known as the strip method, a strip is removed from the hair donor tissue (hair bank) and then all the grafts in the strip are removed and implanted in the bald areas of the scalp.
Due to simultaneous strip harvesting, all grafts are available to implant.
Therefore, in the FUT method, the number of grafts that can be removed in an area of the hair bank is approximately 3 to 4 times more that of the FIT method.
2) FIT method:
In this method, we use a round punch machine, the grafts are selectively and randomly harvested from the hair bank and then implanted in the bald area.
In the FIT method, the hair transplant is non-invasive, therefore the skin heals faster.
However, due to the limitation in harvesting from the hair bank, the hair transplant operation may be performed in two or more sessions.
For harvesting in the later sessions of transplantation, the hair bank should be given at least 6 months to repair and regenerate.
Some people need to have a second sessions for hair transplant due to the extent of baldness. But in some cases, there are no ideal conditions for the patient to have the hair transplant operation again.
The type and environment of occupation, travel from the city or even another country, lack of time, re-spending money, another recovery period, etc. are among the conditions that make the decision to plant second and third sessions more difficult and they will not achieve the desired result by refraining from hair transplanting again.

3) Combined method:
In this method, on the first day, hair transplantation is performed by FUT method and in the next sessions, by FIT method.
